About Melissa

Melissa Meadows is an aspiring Christian historical author, drawing inspiration from her favorite decade, the 1930's. Those years of depression, hardships, Hollywood glamour and public enemies are the perfect backdrops for her stories that center around the graciousness of God.

Recently celebrating their ten year anniversary, Melissa and her husband enjoy raising their two children in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. The cooler summers and lush mountains are a big difference from the red dirt plains of Oklahoma, where she was born and raised. Although she has grown to love the mountains like a native Virginian, she would have to confess that she misses the wide open space and, from time to time, would love to look across the horizon and watch the water-color painted sunsets that are an Oklahoma wonder.

Melissa recently placed in the top fifty in The Story contest hosted by FamilyFiction. Her short story, titled Multiplied, took readers back to the Great Depression and alongside one family who learned that God would supply all their needs. The short story will be published in an upcoming anthology.
